Last Entry

Hi all,

As of tomorrow (Friday, 6.9.2006) at midnight, I will officially close this journal. It has been suggested that I keep it here just for memories sake. I will consider this dependent on the response. Otherwise I will simply delete it. Either way, this is the last entry. So, as such, I have this to say: It's been an interesting year and few months. There have been ups, downs, and everything in between. For those of you on my friend's list, I thank you for being the loyal readers you are. Please don't hesitate to send me an e-mail or IM sometime. I'm always glad to talk.

At that note: Good Night and Good Luck.

Your friend always,

Mike, aka. Jeepaddict

Hello friends. Due to unforseen circumstances, I am forced to delete this journal. I will wait until the end of the week to do so, but consider this a warning. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Later.

So it's been almost a week since I last updated. Well, a lot has happened since. In short, we drove from Fort Myers, FL to Penfield, NY in that time. I am home now. We made stops in Cordelle, GA (1 night), Kodak, TN (3 nights), and Gibsona, PA (1 night). There was a lot to see, and a lot to do at each of those stops. I took lots of pictures, too. Overall it was great. But alas, I am tired, and going to bed. Tomorrow I get to start pressure washing the deck to get it ready for painting. Woo hoo. Later, y'all. :-)

As Memorial day 2006 comes to an end, lets all make sure that the people who gave us the freedoms we have today are not forgotten, and more so, rightly honored. To many people forget the true purpose of Memorial day. It is just that, a Memorial. And as the fireworks go off outside my window, I think of the life we have today, and what it would be like if it were not for those whom we are honoring today. Thank you.

In other news, we leave on the road trip tomorrow, so I pfobably won't be updating for a while. I'll make sure to post a long update when I get back.

Later, all.

Today started out as one of those lazy days. I didn't get showered and out of my PJ's until about 1 PM. Then I washed the Jeep, went swimming, rode the scooters around to random places, then brought my brother to Comp USA. Then we had the picnic with the family, which was fun. We helped my cousin pick out songs for her wedding in November. Then I came home, helped my brother figure out his iPod shuffle he just bought, brought the boat home from dry storage at the marina, and here I am. Tomorrow I want to wax the Jetta to keep the bugs from sticking during the drive up. Well, I'm going to hit the hay. I'll be updating again tomorrow before we leave. Later, y'all.

Florida at last

Hi. I'm in Florida. Quite a bit earlier than originally expected too. I got on the earlier flight from JFK to RSW and got here at 4:25, rather than 6:40. So I didn't have a long layover afterall. It was an uneventful flight, which is a good thing. So I got here, we went out to dinner with my aunt and uncle, then went to their house for dessert and coffee, and then came home, and here I am. I'm beat, seeing as I slept a whole 3 hours last night, if that. I'm going to hit the hay now. G.N. all.

Well, I'm at the Greater Rochester International Airport (the one with the name that is bigger than the airport itself). I'm at gate A5 waiting for Jet Blue flight 27 to JFK departing at 11:30AM. I didn't get to sleep until about 4AM, and then I was up at 7. So I'm going to be feeling that later. I decided to go for a drive at around 3AM. I drove down Rte. 286 (Atlantic Ave.) to Rte. 350 (Ontario Center Rd.) and then up Lake rd. out to Webster. The fog was amazing in Ontario. It was so foggy, that Ginna wasn't even visible behind the fog. All I could see was an orange glow from the sodium vapor lights around the plant. I'm just glad there wasn't any traffic at 3AM. It would have been nightmarish driving with traffic in that fog. It was kind of fun though as it was. Anyhow, I'm going to go now. I'll update either once I get to FL, or from JFK. I have a long-ish layover at JFK, so I'll have time to update then. Later y'all.

Can't sleep. Probably on account of the fact that I am leaving tomorrow, and when I come back, my Mom will be with me. I want to make sure the house is perfect before I leave, but I can't help but think I'm forgetting something. It really has me stressed. It'll pass, but I've got to travel tomorrow, and I can't sleep on the airplane. I need to sleep now, but I simply can't. Simple as that. So, I'll update again tomorrow when I get to FL to let you know what came of this war of stress vs. sleep. Later.

I'm feeling a little better today, though still sick. I managed to cut the lawn in the rain today. It needed it, and I didn't feel like asking someone else to do it. So I did it. Probably not my best of ideas. I'm all achy now. And I smell like grass clippings and lawnmower exhaust. Oh well. I leave to FL tomorow, then we start the drive up on Tuesday, We are stopping at various places along the way, including Atlanta, GA, Kodak, TN; somewhere in Kentucky, and Pittsburgh, PA. It should be fun. I look forward to it. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures. I'll post some here when I get back. I'll be sure to update before I leave from FL. Later, y'all.

Hi all. Well I officially have a job, for the summer at least. I am helping out with Economy Auctions. I helped with the one today in Irondequoit, on Minocqua Dr. It was actually kind of fun. There was mostly junk for sale there, but it was interesting nonetheless, and I got paid, and I got two free meals. What more can one ask for? Never mind that the weather was really crappy today (it rained, then the sun came out, then it rained, then it sleeted, then it snowed, then it rained, then it sleeted, and then the sun came out again. go figure). And, best of all, we got to go through what was left at the end and take whatever we wanted. I got an old Kodak bag that looks like a film box, and a Kodak Thermos, an old humidifier, and a wierd old accordion for my dad. It was a blast. Anyway, I'm beat. I'm going to hit the hay. I've been up since 4:15 this morning. G.N. all. :)
